ENB YouthCo

English National Ballet, one of the most successful ballet companies in the UK, is growing by the minute. Under artistic director Tamara Rojo, the company has acquired a ‘sexier’ image in a bid to become more appealing to younger audiences and has gained stellar performers to its already star-heavy company. In the New Year English National Ballet will perform at the Barbican Centre for the first time in its long history, opening up performances to wider audiences increasing the company's range. The company also carries out many outreach activities, such as Dance for Parkinson's and the Big Dance Pledge earlier this year. In addition to this, English National Ballet has its own youth ballet company, named ENB YouthCo. The eighteen youngsters are from all over the country and train and rehearse under Holly Noble. Working closely with English National Ballet’s learning department, Holly has worked on numerous youth dance projects and performances as well as delivering workshops throughout the UK and mentoring young dancers and choreographers. Holly is also one of the founders of the Female Choreographers Collective, setting a prominent stance in the form of advocating exposure for female choreographers. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lGL8g_jsFAE In May of 2012, Holly worked alongside Andre Gingras, of Danceworks Rotterdam, English National Ballet and East London Dance to deliver ‘ENB Flashmob’ at both Westfield Stratford and Westfield Sheperds Bush, a performance celebrating Big Dance 2012 and the London 2012 Olympic Games. She has also created work for ENB YouthCo, working with esteemed choreographer Kerry Nicholls that has been performed at The Place and the Southbank Centre’s Clore Ballroom.
