You may remember our blog from a few weeks ago about Flash Mob… well, last night I was lucky enough to be part of the audience at this show at the Lowry Theatre in Manchester.
The performance was, quite honestly, one of the best dance performances I have ever seen. I expected to enjoy the show of course, but I have a feeling this will stay as one of my favourite performances for a long time. The fast pace, wide range of music and innovative staging all came together to create a mesmerising performance.
The first half tells a powerful, emotional story, impeccably danced by Nicolette and Renako, which will undoubtedly move you. This is a perfect example of how dance can portray such strong emotions and feelings. The routines are simply sensational.
The second half was equally passionate, with stunning routines from all performers. In this half, the individual talents of the cast come out with more solo performances. There are still routines with the whole ensemble which once again prove that dance is not a fixed discipline and many styles can be enjoyed together. The finale even got the whole audience on their feet in a Brazilian salsa frenzy.
If you have the chance, I would highly recommend that you go and see this show. Every routine will inspire you, and the phenomenal talent of all the cast comes together to create an extremely enjoyable, fun show which celebrates every form of dance.
