Tap dancing history ultimately came into its own in the 1920's and 1930's, with the likes of Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers taking the world by storm and stealing fans' hearts along the way. Whilst the pair are not the sole cause of the rise in the popularity of tap, they are with no doubt the most well-known. For Tap Attack, their style of tap is completely modern, up-to-date and fresh. Following their success in Germany, they have set their own standards very high for following years of competitions. The pressure's on!
Although based in Swindon, the Tap Attack England team played a pivotal role in uniting with other dancers from across the country to secure their place at the forefront of the World stage. The youngest dancer is just ten years old, with each playing an important part in the troupe's success. The team believes that their secret weapon is just how much the dancers commit to everything they do. It is clear the young dancers are born performers, becoming the envy of coaches from other countries. So pull on your tap shoes, you're never too young....or old to start tap dancing!
