Yesterday the line-up was announced for the Dance Proms (2014). This year’s gala promises to be a spectacle with
performances from schools such as A2 Arts Performing Arts Academy, Dupont Dancestage, Kilburn School of Dance and the winners of the public vote Stenhouse School of Dance
. As official sponsors Dancewear Central are getting into the spirit of the festival starting with a ticket giveaway and an exclusive interview with Dance Prom patron and winner of the BBC’s So You Think You Can Dance? (2011) Matt Flint!!!! To enter and win two tickets to the Dance Proms on Thursday 2nd November, as well as £50 to spend at Dancewear Central, all you have to do is send us a question that will be included in our interview. Matt Flint started dancing at the age of twelve when he took up street classes, and by sixteen he had moved to London to attend Laine Theatre Arts. After three years of training he embarked upon an international dance career that has included roles in musicals, TV and films. Amongst his greatest achievements is of course his success on BBC’s
So You Think You Can Dance?, but Matt has also choreographed for films and television programmes such as
All Stars 3D, Strictly Come Dancing and Let’s Dance for Comic Relief. Furthermore he hosted Move It Dance’s main-stage in 2013, founded his own dance company Happy Feet and set up Can You Dance?, a UK based competition for young dancers of all genres. His success is unprecedented making him the perfect role model for all aspiring dancers.
