Dance Proms is a partnership project between the IDTA, ISTD, RAD and the Royal Albert Hall working together in a celebration of dance, and Dancewear Central are once again delighted to be supporting the show and everyone involved.
Last year was a huge success with performers & audience alike and some of us here at Dancewear Central were lucky enough to attend the show and witness first hand an outstanding array of some the best talent from around the world. The show boasted an international cast and united more than 450 young dancers showcasing their talent at one of the world’s most prestigious venues – the Royal Albert Hall!
This year, Dance Proms is set to be even better and we are very excited to be a part of it again! The one night only show will take place on Sunday November 2nd 2014. The gala performance is a celebration of dance and is designed to showcase the highest standards of all dance genres including salsa, ballet, ballroom & street dancing.
Organised by three of the worlds leading dance organisations - the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing, the International Dance Teachers’ Association, the Royal Academy of Dance and supported by the Royal Albert Hall. Dance Proms patrons include the highly respected Darcey Bussell CBE, Angela Rippon OBE, Matt Flint, Chris Hollins, Arlene Phillips CBE, Lisa Riley, and some of them will be coming to the show!
Dance Proms provides a stepping stone to professional success for aspiring young performers. Giving young people an incredible opportunity – not just the chance to perform, but to do it in one of the world’s most iconic venues, the Royal Albert Hall!
You could be a part of it too! Teachers affiliated with any one of the three dance organisations can register for their dance school to take part. They can submit a video of an original piece of choreography for consideration by a panel of dance professionals before April 27 2014.
