LIMBO as part of London Wonderground
LIMBO, as part of the London Wonderground festival at the Southbank Centre and presented by Underbelly Productions, is a dazzling feast of circus inspired entertainment. An exotic mix of cabaret, circus and acrobatics, LIMBO draws on both magic and music to seduce audiences with a celebration of talent and passion. LIMBO consists mostly of fire, contortion, aerial work, tap dancing and jazzy interludes and is made up of performers coming from all corners of the world, including Canada, France, the United States and Russia.

For this brand new show, each character makes up the parts of the show as an individual; there are no choruses or weak elements. The performers work closely alongside each other with a delicate chemistry which is not overplayed and is often seen in long-running shows making for an intimate evening in an eclectic pop-up circus space. LIMBO is full of cult couture from the cast of international performers, presented in a magnificent 1920's inspired Spiegeltent.
Of particular note are those who dabbled with danger, despite the male contortionist bringing subtle gasps from his peers in the audience. Heather Holliday shines as a vintage beauty who pouts her way through the chaos and swallows two swords before eating fire and smoking the flames. Superb talent comes in the form of a tap dancing, tumbling trio which revolves between four dancers. The males turn their hands to both skill and performance, concluding the show as an undiscovered mesh of talent and performative illusion, deserved of more recognition.
As a result LIMBO is an exotic illogical world where peculiar characters merge with the audience in an all-inclusive and exciting new show. As the press release states, with the whisper of spirits and domination, illusion, suspension; LIMBO is boundless.
