World Tutu Day is as an annual worldwide fundraising event in support of ballet education, helping to make ballet dreams come true all over the world. World Tutu Day will be held on 2 February 2015, but those involved can start raising funds now and hold an event on the day too. The scheme looks set to be a great self-starting way to easily raise funds for dance education all over the world and provide for young, talented dancers.
The Australian Ballet School introduced the new fundraising initiative, which utilises an online fundraising platform allowing ballet lovers from all walks of life to create their own fundraising pages. Through integration on social networking sites, fundraisers will be able to gather supporters and spread the World Tutu Day message. Funds raised specifically from Australia will help The Australian Ballet School to maximise its accessibility to talented students by providing scholarships and bursaries to those in need. It will also benefit all students by supporting the School's health and welfare programmes.

In terms of the future of World Ballet Day, funds raised in other countries will help to support top ballet schools all over the world, and enable them to offer their programmes to those students who have the talent to succeed, but not the monetary means, limiting the training to only those aspiring students who can afford to attend the school.
To find our more about this supportive venture, the World Tutu Day website is a fun and easy way to get friends and fellow students or teachers together and raise funds to help ballet dreams come true for others less fortunate. By registering the group on the World Tutu Day website, you can even join together to form your own Tutu Team, which is a great way to collaborate and be recognised for your collective efforts to support the scheme.
